The aim

The ultimate goal of our recruitment process is to give you enough information for you to make an effective decision on a career with us. During this process, we want to get to know the real you. Our interviews are professional but laid back and relaxed; we don’t want anyone to feel anxious or nervous about joining our team.

Our company culture is very important to us. We want to know the real you so that we know where is the best place in our team for you. We can give you all the support and training you will need to be successful, we just need to know you have the right attitude.

 

The process will normally follow 5 steps:

  • Telephone call with our Talent Acquisition (TA) team Cathy, Josh, Robyn and Ami are our friendly TA team, dedicated to finding the right people for our business. They will be talking you through the basics, discussing the essential skills required and giving you more information about the roles available.
  • Face-to-face interview with Scott and Richard If you are motivated and enthusiastic about a career in sales and want to know if you’ve got what it takes to work in Recruitment, our TA team will book you in to meet with Scott and Richard – two of our Group Directors who can tell you all about the highs (and lows!) of recruitment.
  • Second interview with the teams If Scott and Richard haven’t scared you off after the first stage, then a second (and final!) stage interview will be offered. This time you’ll be meeting your potential manager(s) – Scott and Richard will have advised the TA team which team they think you’ll be best for. You will be asked to complete a brief presentation about why you are the right person for the job – don’t worry the TA team will guide you through what is needed and will be there to support you.
  • Offer made Hooray! If you’re successful we’ll send you through the details of your offer and all the information you need to get ready for your new career with the STR Group!
  • Welcome to the pack! We’ll arrange a start date that’s suitable for everyone and you’ll kick off your first day with an Induction Presentation telling you all you need to know about your first few months – and beyond – as a Recruiter with STR.

What to expect from us

Honesty

The STR Group is honest with everyone that interacts with our company; we’re honest with our employees, managers, suppliers and potential recruits. If you’re not right for a career in sales, we will tell you. We don’t want to waste anyone’s time when it comes to their career. We may have other potential openings that would be more suited, in which case we’d talk you through our other available positions.

Advice

If you’re worried about lack of experience, or not sure if a career in recruitment is right for you, we will give you 100% confidential and honest advice. We’ve been in recruitment a while and can tell you all the gory details, as well as the amazing success to be had.

Support

We’ll support you through the whole process. Ami and Mark will be on call to answer questions and offer advice at any stage of the process and while you’re settling in. You’ll get a face-to-face catch up with them after your first month were you can confidentially talk through any questions you may have.
