The aim

The ultimate goal of our recruitment process is to give you enough information for you to make an effective decision on a career with us. During this process, we want to get to know the real you. Our interviews are professional but laid back and relaxed; we don’t want anyone to feel anxious or nervous about joining our team.

Our company culture is very important to us. We want to know the real you so that we know where is the best place in our team for you. We can give you all the support and training you will need to be successful, we just need to know you have the right attitude.

 

The process will normally follow 6 steps:

  • Telephone call with Ami or Mark Ami and Mark are our friendly Talent Acquisition team, dedicated to finding the right people for our business. They will be talking you through the basics, discussing essential skills needed and give you more information about the roles available.
  • Potential face-to-face interview with Ami or Mark If you are motivated and enthusiastic about a career in sales, but still not sure Recruitment is for you why not pop in to meet Ami or Mark? Here they will give you even more information about the role, talk you through each of our brands, the markets they work in and what you can expect from a career in recruitment – plus they make a good cuppa.
  • Face-to-face interview with Divisional Director and/or Team Leaders We will match your experience and personality to one of our 6 niche recruitment brands to ensure you are working alongside like-minded individuals. We will then invite you back for a second interview with the relevant Divisional Director and your potential Team Leader.
  • Final interview with Divisional Directors and Team Managers If you have what it takes then a final stage interview will be offered. You will be asked to complete a brief presentation about why you are the right person for the job – don’t worry Ami and Mark will guide you through what is needed and will be there to support you.
  • Offer made Hooray! If you’re successful we will offer you the job in true STR Group style! (Look out for a surprise in the post)
  • Welcome to the pack! We’ll arrange a start date that’s suitable for both parties. Your first day will involve familiar faces, with Ami or Mark conducting your induction, and lunch with your new colleagues – it’s on us!

What to expect from us

Honesty

The STR Group is honest with everyone that interacts with our company; we’re honest with our employees, managers, suppliers and potential recruits. If you’re not right for a career in sales, we will tell you. We don’t want to waste anyone’s time when it comes to their career. We may have other potential openings that would be more suited, in which case we’d talk you through our other available positions.

Advice

If you’re worried about lack of experience, or not sure if a career in recruitment is right for you, we will give you 100% confidential and honest advice. We’ve been in recruitment a while and can tell you all the gory details, as well as the amazing success to be had.

Support

We’ll support you through the whole process. Ami and Mark will be on call to answer questions and offer advice at any stage of the process and while you’re settling in. You’ll get a face-to-face catch up with them after your first month were you can confidentially talk through any questions you may have.
